Day 01: GAIN.

As many people know, #GainApp is one of our favorite apps to manage #socialmedia content for our clients.

Day 02: WAVE.

My finance/accounting game COMPLETELY changed after finding this app. I’ll break it to you here… finances are not my thing – this is the business task that I dread the most. However, with Wave, everything is super easy. I have recommended this app to so many people and their feedback is always positive.

 ability to save products/services with their description and pricing.

Day 03: TRELLO.

I have to be honest here, I didn’t fall in love  with #Trello at first sight.
Their visual/post-like interface was a winner in my world. However, being used to paper to-do lists, I needed the satisfaction of crossing things off my lists. That’s why I switched to another app. Later on, I decided to give Trello a second chance while looking for a way to get the that satisfaction that I was missing when completing my to-do lists.

After much thinking and planning, I was able to come up with a way to make it work – while also looking super pretty & organized!

This app was recommended to us by María Elena from ambinity and although she’s more of a power-user that we are; we definitely love it.

Tailwind allows us to… get ready…. SCHEDULE PINS! #gamechanger. Forget about spending hours and hours per day uploading pins that will all be pushed at the same time. 
Schedule pins on different days and different times and also, join Tribes with similar interest to get your content moving.

Day 05: ZAPPIER.

Zapier is your FREE VIRTUAL ASSISTANT!  Well, technically.

Zapier is the automation queen  or as they say: an app that “automates boring and tedious” tasks. Have you every thought how easier your daily tasks could be if you could integrate one app with another without using a single piece of code? With Zapier you can!

Which “zaps” do we use or are available?
 get a special/custom text message every time someone signs up to our mailing list or we receive a payment from Digital Strategy Lounge.
 insert a label to all completed tasks on Trello.
 move my today To-Do’s from Trello to Google Calendar
 log WordPress posts to a Google Sheets spreadsheet

If you are an iPhone and Mac user – this app will save your life.

Have you ever had a file on your iPhone, that wanted to use on your desktop or viceversa and ended up emailing it to yourself? DO IT NOW MORE.  While on the same wifi, you can access your Mac from your iPhone and viceversa to retrieve files. You can even “Favorite” specific folders for easy access.

Day 07: AIRMAIL.

Although many people love the native Mail app from Apple – I was looking for a bit more. Hence, my search for a new app and this fabulous find.

Favorite features?
 modern interface
 ability to label emails – feature that i loved from Gmail and missed on Mail.
 color-coded mailboxes
 attachments are added at the bottom of your email and not in the middle of the body.
 mobile app

Day 08: FOCUS.

This is a rather new find. While trying to find ways to increase my productivity, I stumbled upon this app which implements the #pomodoro technique.

How does it work?
 25:00 minute timer that allows you to focus continuously on one task at a time.
 once the 25:00 minutes have elapsed you can take a 5:00 minute break; basically allowing you to relax and refocus.
 after 5:00 minutes are up you are able to continue working on tasks for 25:00 at a time and choosing whether you’d like the 5:00 minute break or skip it.

Day 09: CANVA.

At this point, who doesn’t love Canva?
Even though I can definitely use Photoshop to create my social media graphics, etc; Canva is just another #gamechanger for me and my businesses.

Recently, I moved on to the paid version and it has some amazing features as well.
Fave features (paid and free)?
 mobile app – being able to design on the go is pretty neat.
 folders to organize designs by clients
 ability to upload fonts
 premade templates – when the creative juices are not flowing; this comes pretty handy!

How do you add hashtags to your Instagram posts?

Smarthash is the only app that enables you to Split Test your hashtags on Instagram to give you an accurate picture of which hashtags are actually influencing more engagement. Forget about adding pretty hashtags without really knowing which are best performing – use the right ones!

While there are many email marketing options – and I have tried probably MOST of them – MailerLite is a great inexpensive app for those who need email marketing with automation but without visual workflows.

I mean, don’t we all love Google Drive? Recently, I decided to move from storing by files on backup hard drives and my laptop to a cloud-based system – Google Drive.

Even though it has been a hard transition (old habits) – it has also been a life saver. Went to a meeting, and the client only had the PDF file I had sent out. Quickly, I went into Google Drive on my iPad and forwarded the Powerpoint version. #lifesaver
